  • When he was 16/17 his great strength was his positional awareness in the box and clinical finishing. That seems to have returned probably with serious focused training ground work.     • It still is in an attacking sense, he’s brilliant at sniffing out a chance and predicting where the ball might drop, but I find it frustrating someone who’s played plenty at full back and wing back shouldn’t be defensively really good. Iwobi is a great example offering Robinson protection; no reason sess shouldn’t be equally as good going back.       • Coaching involves improving players as much as you can but there will invariably be remaining weaknesses. So you make use of the stengths and find ways to cover the weaknesses. We have two DMs- let one of them cover the RB where necessary and leave Sess free to make his runs into the box.         • But it doesn’t need to be that way, as in he isn’t not covering as he’s caught up field after making a run or losing the ball, I’d be fine with that, he’s there, he starts off in a good position but too often let’s a full back run off him, Traore does it as well, but only one has operated as a full back. Minor gripe from today though, if he scored 10-12 a season that positive would out weigh switching off at times.
