Subject: Yeah. Of course we tired. That's what happens when you chase the ball rather than control it. And 3-1 up against the tip side in the league, we will always be chasing the ball. But its a long way from that to the all press craziness of Spurs. We've always, for instance, subbed Andreas. Its just the nature of his game. But Andreas was just one player in a team of battlers and with so many subs and a squad with genuinely two per position it makes sense to play him that way.
In reply to: Same Old Story 's message, "The Silva comment is interesting bearing in mind (not that i'd have changed things earlier either), he didn't make a sub until well into the last 20 minutes." on Tuesday, April 08, 09:38:24am

  • Must admit I felt he left it late. Felt they were creating even before the Diaz chance and the tide was turning and was wanting him to make some subs at the more normal 60/65’ mark, guess it’s bit of rock and a hard place though, if he did that and it went wrong people would say, what’s he doing changing the team after that first half and being 3-1 up. Surprised he went Traore over Willian who is far calmer and better going back. (NT) -- Henry1879, Tuesday, April 08, 11:22:30am (94.196.33.37.threembb.co.uk/94.196.33.37)
  • Agree on Traore/Willian. I didn't think ESR was the right sub either, not when you clearly want energy and legs. (NT) -- Same Old Story, Tuesday, April 08, 11:34:25am (NoHost/81.79.75.149)
