I do feel this team has gone as far as it can go. Sitting in my seat yesterday before the game I felt we would be value for a draw. After 30 mins I thought Everton looked like one of the worst teams to come to CC this season. Then we just ran up the white flag and surrendered. How we lost to them I don’t know. But they hung in there and battled.

There is no leadership in this team. The last leader we had was Kevin Macdonald maybe Ream. TC has never been a leader and I don’t think Robinson is one either. We seem to award the captaincy as an add on to a contract negotiation.

After the game I saw Silva leave in a Mercedes while the squad left in the bus . A small thing but where is the leadership, togetherness and team spirit ? Surely they all leave together. I think off the pitch we don’t have strong leadership and the fiasco with the Riverside shows that.

We are soft and it shows. I think we will struggle next season unless there is a radical change. We can’t dig in, we don’t scrap and we just roll over.

The squad also needs an overhaul - Willian, Traore, CV, Cairney not fit for purpose. Tete probably and maybe Robinson will be off. Maybe Silva too. I would like see some character in what is on display.

Same tactics as last week v Villa. Marco subbed off the brightest sparks again (Sess, Harry ESR) and to what effect ? Utilised 5 subs from a very weak bench, who subsequently offered feck all. With Liverpool the exception it has been boring watching this bunch of robots for about a dozen games now. No fight, little penetration, no leadership no attacking ideas, no Plan B. Need a clearout! Need Boa Morte back to replace his successor. Whatever the new guy does is not working. Wouldn't necessarily read too much into Silva leaving separately. After the Saints game Silva and many of the players left separately either in their own cars (AP) or private vehicles (Silva and ESR to name just two).
