FA need someone mid season, different to a team letting them speak to move at the end of the season, can barely remember a manager breaking contract mid season if someone isn’t sacked. Cheap option was carsley/another internal, less money, fewer demands, irrelevant what Southgate earns. So what constitutes an interview? If I ring pep and ask, you interested, does that count? Because they said more were interested than others so, clearly some of them it would have been pointless to interview. -- SW6.doc

A Fulham fan and you can barely remember an England manager taking over mid season? Were you not around for the keegan years. Took over England in February and managed us both.
