Agree but if not Pereira ,who is currently capable of leading the press ? He can’t do that from deeper , and again I’d say currently ESR isn’t fit enough for such a role . Silva’s problem is how best to play them both , and for me that means AP back to ‘10’ and ESR wider , albeit not as a conventional winger : we’ll get our width from Robinson’s runs . However for those of us advocating both Lukic and Berge as starters , there’s just no room for all 4 in CM. -- SW6.doc

watch moore closely Mouse. While at times there is a clear #10. Most of the time 'the new' formation features a right #8-10 and a left #8-10 All depends on the position of the ball. ESR is the left AP the right. When subs happen things differ, like King becomes more classic #10 . So Silva while trying to adapt to life without Joao. Also recognises player shortcommings? What I don't understand about how Andreas is being played is that, just as when it was Andreas & Cairney together, Andreas is still the highest mid on the pitch tasked with the risky passes, whereas ESR drops deep more often, playing safer (I.e. the Cairney role). But then out of possession he's asked to be deeper than ESR, so right now he has to be the highest in possession & 2nd lowest out of it.
