Subject: We have lots of really impressive individual stats. You can add in e.g. Muniz 2nd in aerial duels won and Iwobi 8th in passes into the penalty area (Willian's key leading stat his two years with us). There are going to be games when everything just clicks. I keep going back to the 5-0s vs Forest and West Ham when we played the same system (2 attacking mids/inside forwards in Cairney & Andreas). I think the next 2 home games could surprise us.

  • We've got a lot of fluidity in that midfield, with most of the encumbants able to play at least 2 of the 3 central roles comfortably. Interestingly Lukic played as a 10 for some of last nights game against a strong Spain side, and didn't look out of place there. • Why Lukic, I think, is going to end up the odd man out unfortunately. I posted yesterday a transfer fee inflation report that indicated that specialist defensive mids and specialist attacking mids are the two most expensive players now, but the ones that are more rounded cost about 50% less. I'm sure there will be games, like at the end of last season, where he'll have a run alongside Berge, but I bet he sits many as we persist with Andreas & ESR in the middle. He's too well-rounded!
