Subject: Also re: "we got lucky that lukic stepped up," what has luck got to do with it!? He was coached into the role, given progressively more responsibility last season & brought back early over the summer when others had time off post-Euros/Copa. Is your idea that we should only buy a direct replacement after a player is sold? Absurd if so. We've developed a stable, forward-thinking recruitment policy that's demonstrably working: 1st team replacement pre-bought, squad replacement post-departure.
