At least if we say, “I hate you” we honestly mean it. If they say that it translates to “I’m mad at you for _______ [fill in the blank with something REALLY stupid and immature] and I want you to think I don't love you anymore so I can come CRAWLING back in two days when you realize there’s a life without me and you’re better off alone so you think I really need you and spend the rest of your life taking care of me because ‘I need you’ and am a timid snidbit of a person.” Okay.
