Subject: Bene Gesserit

Hi, everyone.
It's nice to finally make my way over to this board.
(While it is nice to know someone from the production is visiting the SciFi board, I care little for most of the other disussions and repeated questions.)

ANYWAY,
I've been musing about the practices of the Bene Gesserit, and have questions I hope someone can answer:

1. After Jessica took the water of life, shouldn't she have known who her mother was?

2. Did Leto have to become a worm to live 3,500 years? Given all the BG training he has in his ancestral memories, I'm sure he could have slowed down the aging process like Ghanima. Is 3,500 too long even for a BG?

Thanks in advance for any answers.
