In reply to: Reston 's message, "Alia's titles" on 15:03:57 04/29/03 Tue

...I don't *think* it ever really specifies how and why she earned her names, but I do have a few possible explinations for a few of them(I admitt I haven't heard them all...)

Holy Sister or Holy Regent are easy enough to explain considering Alia and her brother were both religious icons and so considered holy by many.
Alia of the Knife is a title I've seen a bit of debate about...but I think this also ties into the whole idea of her and her brother being considered 'holy'. And so in addition to this she may have also been considered sacred; as sacred, perhaps, as a Fremen's Cryseknife(I know, my spelling is a little off, feel free to correct me.). Her and her brother were also basic representations of Fremen as a cryseknife.
Womb of Heaven I have never heard of =commences to hide from the onslaught of people who will scream at her for missing that=, but I'm guessing it would have something to do with the fact that Alia's mother took the water of life while she was still in the womb.
I truely haven't the faintest idea if these are right or not...its all just odd speculations. Sorry I can't offer any hard, cold facts.
