While I do agree with chairdog to a certain extent that discussions of literature are naturally going to lead to analysis about our own world and consequently differences of opinion, I can see your point as well.

While I am totally for freedom of expression and I revel in the argumentation that my passion for Dune may lead to, I can understand that it may lead off topic an that can be annoying to others who aren't involved; especially one who created this forum for very specifically for dune discussion.

I will promise to abstain from off the topic argument, if you as a moderator, interject, reply one of the pertinent threads, and remind us that the discussion is off topic. In the example of this last discussion, you didn't reply to either myself or Crysknife, and speaking for myself I didn't read your post until the argument had basically ended.
Perhaps, you don't feel you want that responsibility as the creator of the board and in that case I won't fault you if you go, but I would prefer it if you didn't abandon the board.

While I think the argumentation makes the board more interesting and fun (especially when I see that there aren't too many messages posted when we are not debating anything) I can understand that others don't feel the same way.

I will try to respect your wishes if you remain in a moderator position on the board.

Sorry, we upset you
