Subject: I never figured out why Pitt hired Wannstedt in the first place. He struck out with Chicago and Miami, yet they hired him. Pitt was a sorry looking bunch yesterday.
In reply to: Alan 's message, "Great day to not be a Pitt alum. When (not if) Wannstedt is fired-- what will happen to Gattuso? Any chance he'd come back to Duquesne?" on Saturday, November 27, 09:45:36am

  • Why wouldn't Pitt look at Gattuso? (NT) -- El Duque, Saturday, November 27, 11:54:34am
  • This seems possible except that Pitt will be under extraordinary pressure to get it right--undeniably--and Gattuso will be seen as part of the old guard. The AD won't be able to sell the "well-he-did-it-at-Duquesne" approach. So if Gattuso is on the outside looking in, I hope we'd approach him. (NT) -- Alan, Saturday, November 27, 11:58:19am
