You haven't failed. I just want you to know that. I do not have much feedback or suggestions on parenting, for it is quite perplexing to me as well.

I do know that I've been in your place too, where you're just so angry....At these moments I've tried to just take some deep breathes before acting on any anger that is brewing so fast inside.

It does sound like Jordan really is sad over this and wants to be better. What I think might help the situation is for you to sit down with him and talk one on one. You can tell him that you're sorry that you spanked him, etc. But that when he acts in the fashion he acted, it made you mad and that you're having a hard time understanding why he is acting so naughty and disrespectful lately. Sigh...

I do remember when Jacqui (Jeff's dd) was that age and boy there were a few times I grabbed her arm so hard....Well. I'm not proud of those moments either.

Sigh...well, I'm rambling. But I just wanted you to know that you haven't failed.
