It sounds like she was just tired and let it all out at once. If this is only a once in awhile thing I really wouldn't worry too much about it. I'd also not give her too much attention for that kind of behavior. I'd pretty well ignore her. She'll get the message that this behavior doesn't get her any attention and stop. If my kids have tantrums they are sent to their bedroom to calm down and can only come out once they are calm and can talk to me about their feelings.

If my kids get real tired they can sometimes have meltdowns too. If I know they are tired it doesn't worry me too much I just make sure to have a quiet evening watching tv or doing some quiet activity, nothing too stimulating.
