Subject: Angie, about your post yesterday (m)

Don't feel too bad about how you acted with your son. I remember acting like HIM when I was little. I must have been a horrible child, and I used to get into huge battles with my dad when I was about 8-9 - thinking back, I must have beaten him black and blue on several occasions. I can't remember what got any of them started, or how they were resolved, but now I have a wonderful relationship with my dad.

Parents sometimes do things that aren't great in retrospect, but kids can be guilty too. I know that adults are supposed to "know better" and "control ourselves better" but we are all only human. Confronted with attitude like that, I'd be very hard pressed to act with cool, calm judgement.

So give yourself a hug, and tell yourself that you have not failed as a mom. I hope things were a bit better at home last night,

Beverlee
