I think what you did was perfect. You told him he either gets his hair cut or you will buzz it. That's what happened. I have said the same thing to Austin(9). If he has some fit about getting a haircut, or more likely me brushing it, then I say we can buzz it and we won't have this trouble anymore. It stops him in his steps. He had a buzz once, his choice and he hated it. He was 4 and he wanted his hair like his dad. So we did and he freaked when he saw it. Poor kid, but he should have known what it would look like. So now if he gives me trouble about a haircut or brushing it I say "do you want a buzz then" "NO NO NO!!!" he says. And the episode is over.

I don't think you will have a hard time with him getting his hair cut again. You did just fine in my book and I probably would have done the same.
