Thanks for your e-mail the other day, Laura. I've hardly had a chance to look at my computer here, and can't get into e-mail from work (grumble, grumble, grumble).

The SARS thing is a bit of a joke. I mean, it's a very serious disease, but there are about 130 people here who are sick, and about 3,000,000 who aren't. I don't know anyone who's been in quarantine. More people here die each summer from air pollution than have died from SARS.

So the chances of us getting sick are practically nil (especially since experts agree the disease has run its course - although things can always change), and unless the US sets up a blockade at the border, we'll be there with bells on!
