We had 4 ER visits at $75 a pop, 3 antibiotics at $25 ea, one Rocepherin shot we had to take to the doctor's office for $57 and oodles of bottles of Motrin, Tylenol, and covers for our Thermoscan ear thermometer. I am afraid of what the hosptial bill will be and the ER bills once they come in. They ran numerous blood cultures on Jayton and did chest X-rays for Audrey. The doctor who administered the Immunoglobulin also told me that it was VERY expensive so they really, really, want to be sure it's Kawasaki Disease before they use it. Knowing my insurance "it won't be covered". Anyway, right now I am thankful Jayton is healthy and alive -I didn't want to think about the fact that KD can be fatal, and my Audrey hasn't thrown up in 3 hours so hopefully we are moving in the right direction. Although, she did have a temp of 103 earlier. *sigh*, they're not kidding when they say...when it rains, it pours.
