Sterling fatale smiled tightly as she spied the two humans now standing within the confines of the palace. Pausing a moment, she herself shed her equine form, her human self quite like to her four-legged form. Her skin was a pale, but healthy tone, her eyes, still the amazing azure, but not quite as forgiving, not quite as gentle, sharper, colder. Her form was slender but still a mite gangly, as she herself was as of yet still lingering in adolescence. Moving silently across the room, her movements the picture of pure fluid grace, she halted beside of the pair, her finely sculpted features turned upwards in an air of disgust, though suprisingly it did not detract from her appeal. Turning ever so slightly, she faced Rush, but still could keep an eye on Death, though her shoulder turned just so that she appeared to give her neither thought nor care, she would deal with her later. Locking her frozen gaze on Rush, she seemed to stare right through him, her icy blues piercing bone marrow and sinew, his entire soul seemed layed bare before her. For long moments she simply held this pose, silently rebuking him for his ignorance. Her pure nobility shown through in its fiercest form, the very air about her seemed to crystallize. When finally the silence broke, her words seemed to skate along the thin ice that had been made of the air around them, shattering it into a million deadly slivers.

"Are you so blind that you cannot see what was within your grasp? You held within your hands a priceless gem, and threw it into the surf, walking off with a chunk of coal. Do you realize that that gem sank beyond the waves, making rest on the ocean's bed, perhaps lost forever while you held fast to a worthless trinket? No, it is not for lack of sight that you mistook that rough crag for a precious stone. It is from lack of insight. I do highly suggest that you return to the seaside bay, and seek for the gem that you so carelessly misplaced, and leave this debris for me to clean up. I would sorely miss that opportunity."

With a final nod, she bade him leave with a flick of her slender wrist, and turned now to come face to face with one whom she had sought combat with for many a day, however, due, she supposed to the cowardly nature of coal, hiding in the depths of the world, this mare had eluded her, no longer. Those who gave insult to any ally of she would pay most dearly. Not with death, for in death is much mercy. Hah! Not in this Death. Cloaked in an Elven raiment of purest sapphire, the glacial queen now laid open the soul of the black one, not liking anything she saw therein. Cowardice, thievery, and ignorance she beheld in that brief instant. Now, the ignorance she could have forgiven, were it the sweet bliss of one young and innocent, but the ignorance she percieved lay deeply ingrained into the very essence of she who stood before her.

"As for you, Death Comes Swiftly By Moonlight, you have commited the most heinous of crimes. You have intentionally sliced through the heart of the brute Rush, carving his devotion into two halves. No one being can live that way, he must give himself in whole to one, not be forever torn. By doing this, you could have killed him. Echo is my friend, and I know for a fact that it was you, not Echo, who came too late. She held counsel with him, and in your blind fury for being late....again, you barged right in and attempted to assert what little authority you presume to possess. I do hope that you have realized your...error, and will now leave them be."

Here she paused, her sapphire pools flashing with contained fury, flowing out in small, clipped, cool bursts.

"However, if you do choose to interfere in any of this ever again, I shall be left with no choice but to secure by any means possible your permanent removal from any contact with either of them."

With these words of caution, the aratári concluded, falling into amused silence as she awaited the events to unfold around her.
