I kept ringing the doorbell for at least two or three minutes and nobody open up the door. I searched all the pockets for the key but it's left in HK. Waiting outside of my home, two girls speaking in Sichuan dialect walked passed me and gave me a glance.

"Mister, they just went to the market,”one of the girls stopped and said.

"Do you live here? I've never seen you before,”I asked curiously.

"We lived at the fourth floor. Just moved in last month,” she replied and continued to walk upstairs.

About 15 minutes later, Maggie and Siu Mui came back with bags of groceries.

"Lo Kung, how long have you been waiting here? Why didn't you open the door with your key?”Maggie said while she's walking up the stairs.

"I forgot to bring my keys,”I answered.

"Look, I bought your favorite food for dinner,”Maggie said and headed for the kitchen.

"Driver, do you need to take a rest?”Siu Mui asked.

"No, I am not tired. How are you? You don't look so well, ”I said.

"I am fine. Sorry for giving you all the trouble,”Siu Mui replied in an apologetic tone.

"No problem. I just waited outside for a short while," I said.

"Siu Mui will be staying with us for a long time,”Maggie yelled from the kitchen.

Honestly, I didn't really mind Maggie's sister moving in with us. I just got used to it. Her family members would always come and stay at our place once in a while. They'd already treated that place as their second home. We got lots of space in here, Maggie always said that when I showed a little bit of discontent.

"What happened?”I went to the kitchen and asked.

"Siu Mui is three months pregnant. I just want her to move in here so I can take care of her,”Maggie said quietly when washing the vegetable.

"Why didn't Ah Chuen (Siu Miu's boyfriend and a Dongguan local) find someone to take care of her? He's a factory owner and he can afford it,”I asked.

"Ah Chuen is having a lot of trouble with his wife and business lately. You know what happened? His wife went to my sister's place few weeks ago. She begged Siu Mui to leave her husband. When my sister told her that she's bearing Ah Chuen's child, this woman started to get mad. She punched and kicked Siu Mui in the face and stomach until someone dragged her outside,”Maggie replied, angrily.

"Why didn't Ah Chuen find her another place?”I wondered.

"This bastard said his money is all tied up in the business and couldn't afford to rent a new place for my sister. You men are all the same! Don't give a shit after you get what you want,”she scolded.

"Hey, I am not the same, am I?”I said.

"You're the same heartless person. Why didn't you send me letter when you're in Canada? Did you remember what I've told you before I went home?”she complained.

"I did! Maybe it's just a delay in the mailing system,”I wasn't sure if my friend in Canada had ever sent out the letter.

"Liar!”Maggie started getting mad at me.

"I am not! I even bought you some present from Canada,”I said. Glad I didn't forget to buy a box of candy and a wristwatch before getting on the bus.

"He..he..he. You're a good Lo Kung after all,”Maggie giggled.

"So why did you go to the market so early the day I called you?”I asked.

"I go to the market every morning since Siu Mui moved here. I just want to make her some soup every day. It's good for the baby and the mother. Don't you know that?”she explained.

The doorbell rang when the dinner was almost ready.
