Henderson Co 16 : Castle 3--no offensive rhythm early and defense can't do it alone

Richmond 13 : Castle 14--defensive touchdown and late stop on fourth down save the Knights from opening 0-2; long road trip bogs Richmond down in 1st quarter

Bosse 10 : Castle 13--another squeaker but Bosse just makes too many mistakes and Castle is able to run the ball with Lackey in the 4th quarter

Central 24 : Castle 7--young and talented Central team takes it to the Knights in some sweet redemption for years of thorough butt whoopings. Offense still isn't clicking in the season's fourth week as quarterback throws three picks and only completes 37% of his passes.

North 27 : Castle 10--Huskies most talented team since the days of Deke Cooper and Kareem Neighbors have too much team speed for the Knights offense. One on one cover ability allows 6 men to play in the box and stop Lackey. Defense plays tough and sets up the field goal and touchdown following turnovers, but can't hold on for all four quarters.

Reitz 31 : Castle 3--Panthers return last season's regular season thumping by running for 225 yards, throwing for another 100 and holding the Knights below 150 total.

Harrison 17 : Castle 21--Harrison, as usual, doesn't have enough bodies to stay fresh for four quarters and the quarterback makes costly turnovers in the fourth quarter. Knights score late on a screen pass to Lackey out of the backfield.

Mater Dei 23 : Castle 24--It's the Knights' best performance of the year as a team. The offense only commits one turnover and the defense steps up against the offense it sees every day in practice. A game that features over 60 passing attempts is won on late 16 yard quarterback draw play.

Memorial 16 : Castle 21--There's no letdown heading into the sectionals as Castle beats a somewhat imporved Memorial team. The offense is finally starting to produce especially since cutting down on turnovers and missed assignments.

Sectionals: In order to advance past first round, Knights must draw Jeff or New Albany (and that's because nobody knows how good either one of them is). If an Evansville school is drawn, it's one and done. Harrison won't make the same mistakes. Reitz is too good. North is too fast. Central has too much confidence after early season victory. Final record 4-6
