In the mutiny scene, Kennedy discounts Buffy's seven years of experience; and within a day, she tells Faith that the girls who have been there longer ( about 2 weeks longer ) should have a say. Kennedy's solution to every problem seems to be "pay more attention to me". She spins every situation to suit her own agenda, which seems to have less to do with the greater good than with her own drive to control people. IMHO, it's no accident that she's named after a politician.

It's a shame that Buffy's six to seven years of experience didn't prevent the disaster that happened in "Dirty Girls". Whatever you might say about Kennedy, it doesn't hide the fact that Buffy's leadership of the Potentials was not that hot. Kennedy, Rona and the other Potentials had every right to reject her leadership, as far as I'm concerned.

If Buffy had the right to reject the leadership of the Watcher's Council, despite their experience, I don't see why Kennedy and the other Potentials did not have the right to do the same.

Or are we absolving Buffy of blame, because she is the main character?
