Blame for what happened in Dirty Girls? Why do you think blame is required? Certainly, with the advantage of hindsight, it would have been better if Buffy and the girls (and guys) had not attacked but I see no obvious signs forewarning of a disaster. Buffy had led her troops into more problematic battles for seven years and had succeeded. This one did not work out but what knowledge did Buffy or anyone else have prior to the battle. Xander had made the "little bus to battle speech" about Buffy deserving the trust of the potentials prior to the battle so he did not forsee a massacre. In fact, I don't recall anyone questioning Buffy's plan prior to the vineyard battle. But then hindsight is always so much clearer than foresight. You fight against evil and sometimes people are going to die. Nothing, not brillant leadership nor inspired planning, is ever going to change that fact.
