It was true that the humans probably wouldn�t let any harm come to their horses since they were the core of any and all the villages. That was a given. Still, humans are not infallible, meaning mistakes and accidents and what not were still very possible. If enemy tribes ganged up on Madras, although at this point unlikely, then the humans couldn�t be everywhere at once to protect all its assets. The less important equines could be the ones targeted since they wouldn�t be as heavily guarded, or they could be ignored and their focus given to the prized ones. Not that it mattered much to the chestnut stallion. His existence upon these lands was yet unknown to the other tribes and perhaps even to the majority within this tribe, or so he figured. As Peytona gives him anther nuzzle, he twists his head around to nibble at her forelock, his way of showing affection. He was actually quite used to being around other horses because he�d always been given a stable buddy to keep him calm and happy. It had never been a mare of course, but the bond between the stable buddy and the stallion had been mutual liking if not simple respect. But with those horses, he hadn�t cared if they left so long as they provided him with another to take his place. With Peytona� he�d live, but grudgingly.
