's message, "Re: ~*~*a ballet in the air...*~*~" on 16:58:49 07/11/03 Fri ~+~*she was silent for a moment before she stepped forward. she turned back to you, with no expression on her face.*~+~ let me handle this. it is the least that i can do after you were kind enough to allow me to come with you. ~+~*she turned back to the dragon, and held one hand out, palm towards the sky, hanging limp. a circle appeared beneath her, followed by another going around it. two more formed, but at a great distance from the origional two- the origional ones were their center, but they spanned about 30 yards away in raadius. you wisely moved outside the circle. all of the grass and plant life within began to die. the space between the two inner most circles began to glow in a silver light, as a staff appeared, floating just above her hand, parallel to the ground. it was a basic staff- no decorations were on it, but you did note that it was made from the same material as the box in her pocket. she spread her wings, and grabbed the staff, just as a powerful wind began to whip through the circles. you were outside, and luckilly did not feel it. you began to understand why her hair was bound in hoops down her back, as the wind thrashed the Emerald Dragon about, lifting him from the ground, and actually moving him. two hoops of gold appeared around the ends of the staff, then slowly moved off it, followed by two more. they lined up above her, like halos. they began to grow gradually, then moved over the dragon, and dropped around him. there were four in all- one turned black, one turned blue, one stayed gold, and one turned white. they were lined up the Dragon's body, like some odd demented hula hoops, when Kaia began to shout orders.*~+~ Silence! ~+~*the black one shrank rappidly around the dragons neck.*~+~ Stone! ~+~*the blue one shrank around its torso, wings, and arms.*~+~ Sleep! ~+~*the golden one shtank around his legs and back, and the bottoms of his wings.*~+~ Stop! ~+~*the white one shrank around his tail. all at once, they began to spread out, until the combination of lights surrounded his body, and turned gold again. the mass of light turned into a sphere, then began to shrink. it continued to shrink, until it was about the size of a marble. it floated over to Kaia, as the staff vanished and her wrist went limp again. in landed on her finger tips, before moving to her chest, where the charm on her dress began to shimmer slightly. the Emerald Dragon was absorbed into her heart. the circles disapeared, as did the wind. she turned back to you, and made her way back to the group.*~+~ ....forgive me for using Ancient Magic, but there was little choice in the matter. the dragon was one rejected by the Sanctuary, thus had no soul. his power and spirit will remain with me until i ferry them to the Spirit River, and his body has been destroyed..... ~+~*she nodded slightly, then made her way back into the group.*~+~ (Congratulations!
