's message, "Re: ~*~*approaching*~*~" on 15:12:02 06/02/03 Mon ~*~*T'Nar returned to Falcon shortly after liftoff- the pull would have carried him away otherwise. the guards lifted the gate, and you entered the village. there was a solid wall of trees at the far end, built up over many layers. there was, perhaps, enough room to squeeze through if you really wanted to. you would deal with that later. you followed Zora into one of the larger houses, where you met with the Elder- a hoover who looked, despite her very old age, like Zora. she smiled, and motioned for you to sit.*~*~ welcome, welcome! you are not from this area, i can tell bu looking at you..... from outside this solar system, would say..... then there is the Dark One, but we welcome you back after you spared the village. ~*~*that was a shock- Ma'ar kept this place from getting blown up or something?*~*~ no doubt, you are trying to get to the source of the Wind. aye, i am not surprised. the Sister Temple fell recently, and you carry the distinct aura of people that have been there and come through alive. however..... ~*~*the sun and moon charms given to Vincent and Kyle by Girion appeared in the air before either of their holders realized that they had been moved. the sun charm was resonating, very strongly. the moon charm was glowing faintly in a deep violet.*~*~ the one who gave these to you was very powerful..... however, the moon charm you have here is tainted.... its keeper is not at peace. the sun charm is resonation.... its holder is fairly calm at the moment..... you will need the sun charm to pass the barriers around the Sun Temple, it will clear your path, you need not worry. this charm will crack the seal just as the moon charm allowed entry at the Moon Temple- you are lucky to have these. you will need them both if you plan to enter the Sacred Land on Aderes. we, the Hoovers, are here to keep the Sun Temple from pulling people to it- it is surrounded by deadly flames, we keep the wind from effecting the people elsewhere in this world by using Earth Magic to grow the tall trees that you see here. you come with peacefull intentions, so we welcome you to our village. i will let you go now... i am sure that you have more important places to be. ~*~*wordlessly, you stood up and exited. you said nothing for fear of offending the great Elder- she was very kind to you, you did not want to upset her. you headed for the rows of thick trees, and pulled yourself through the first 5 or so rows- then you were drug past the last 3 by that powerful wind that had been nagging you since your arrival. the sun and moon charms returned to their carriers as they shot out onto the planes. what you saw there would be embeded into your memory for years to come. a pillar of fire, standing straight up in the distance- a Fire Storm, causing the wind that was bringing you (and several trees and smaller creatures) towards the flames to keep its self burning strongly. the sun charm reacted just before you could no longer take the heat, and a long passage opened before you. in the end, you passed through the fire and landed inside an open door. you thought that you were going to fry in here- but to your relief, the moon charm canceled the heat and you fealt a refreshing breeze lift around you. you were even happier when you realized that this temple was not like its sister- there were no challenges here, and judging from the murals and paintings, the only beast that was supposed to be here was one that you knew well- a phoenix. more specifically, Star's Phoenix. you found thaat much out by a painting of the large bird being tamed by a demon who looked identical to Star, that, and another of the same demon holding the phoenix in the palm of her hand inside a clear sphere. well, at least you knew that it would not be here at any rate. now you just had to find Scion and get out of here. you descended the stairs in the center of the room. the room beneath the main one was very dark- that problem was fixed by a Mage Light created by Fire Song, plus the slight glow from Aya and Vree. Treyvan seemed to carry a faint glow as well. you looked around. save for an alter in the center, the room was empty. well, not quite..... there was somebody sitting on the alter. not Scion, you could tell right away. there was a feeling of more than one element, and not just electricity. you got closer to get a better look- a female of an unknown race. probably in her late teens or early twenties. her ears were not quite like those of an elf- they were slightly longer, with a few studs and rings in them. her hair was golden brown, and fell in a silky wave to the small of her back. her skin was a medium brown, covered by a generally skimpy outfit that consisted of a bra, a clear white blouse (thank the gods for the bra beneath it) and a bikini-type bottom, also covered in clear white pants. the white parts of the outfit looked like very thin silk, the rest of the outfit was light blue. the entire outfit was decorated at the edges with deep red stones, which matched a few of the studs in her ears. she was sitting on the alter, cross leged with her eyes closed, and her arms slightly raised before her... you noticed a second set of arms stemming from the same shoulder joint, which were off to the sides, and not raised as high. all 4 of her hands contained a deep red stone, cut like a warped sphere that resembled more of an egg than anything. her eyes fluttered open, a set of lovely emerald green eyes.... that really contrasted the rest of the outfit, but still looked very nice. she smiled, and stood up while keeping her arms positioned as they were. on the alter, she towered above you. if she were on the ground, she probably would not stand above 5 and a half feet tall. she tilted her head to one side, and lowered her arms. you were disapointed to see the second set vanish, all four of the stones with them. you tried not to think about that when she started speaking.*~*~ ..you made it through the city? it has been a long time since i have had a visitor...... ~*~*she jumped down, her bare feet thudding lightly on the floor.*~*~ i am Liiga, Spirit of Fire. ~*~*that explained the total lack of electrical energy around her. you had no idea why you had thought of that just then, but, you figured it did not really matter.*~*~ ....i have been here for the past three years. why do i not leave, you ask? because i am only half a Spirit.... the Spirit of the Wish was a mortal spirit because she was cloned from a living being. i am in a similar situation, but not entirely. i was to become the Spirit of Fire after Lynn, but something odd happened.... she was killed, at the same time as her other counter parts, so she was circulated leaving me as the Spirit of Fire before i had left my mortal body. so i am down here until i seperate- that is why you saw four arms, part of the splitting process. i chose this place because of the Fire Storms. so not think me to be unusual- i need to pass into the spirit world before my mortal body dies, otherwise i will not be able to maintail full spirit form..... so, i am so pleased that you are here to visit me! nobody ever visits me! or perhaps you are here on other buisness? ~*~*she smiled, and leaned back against the alter.*~*~ if you are looking for the other boy that has come to visit me, he descended into the Nest about a week ago to look for a way out of here. he hasnt come back up yet, but i do think that he is still there if you would like me to show you the way..... ~*~*she shut herself off quickly, then turned to Kyle in mid-sentence. you did not feel it, but they very obviously did. all of the extra shielding was suddenly absorbed into the earth, and the link to Eldan suddenly snapped. something on the other end had severed the line. Liiga clearly fealt this- as did Kyle, because both of them suffered a temporaty backlash shock. then, it was gone. she tilted her head to one side, as if asking what had happened.*~*~ ....you speak to the Stars? then..... ~*~*her eyes scanned the group, then landed on Psyke and Fire Song. she quickly jumped back onto the alter, as if she now feared for her life. she shook her head rappidly, then backed to the far edge of the alter.*~*~ .....one from the Sanctuary, and one from the True Born line.... what buisness have you two to be traveling together? the Stars are usually solitary..... ~*~*a look of concern appeared in her eyes.*~*~ ....unless one of you.... nevermind. so... ~*~*she tried to look cheery again.*~*~ would you like me to show you the way to the Nest? the Phoenix is out, has been for some time.
