Very well said David,
One of the many problems we are facing is the publics perception of the appraisal system,which is very misleading.The majority of these 80% plus dogs in reality would most likely be disqualified for Movement or Temperment problems alone, as the system is now they slip through with high scores on color,coat,ect.this,averaged into the final equation results in a less than desirable dog.Example: a 87% dog tells me this must be a very nice dog,Period.It tells me nothing of its Temp,Movement,Hindquarters,frontquarters,head,NOTHING!!IT TELLS ME NOTHING. One thing it does do and is meant to do is SELL PUPPIES!!(IT WORKS)
It does not have anything to do with the betterment of the breed at all,as long as we BUY the pups they will continue to give high misleading scores to sell pups,cut and dry ,thats the Appraisal system as we have known it,the HBSA recognizes this and is changing there system, to restore the Historical Boel.It will be a difficult task with many sacrifices and obsticles to induct into a new system.
I invite anyone from any Org. that truly cares about this breed to join in and help change the systems of all Orgs.I'm not asking you to join mine ,I'm asking you to help change yours to restore the Historical Boerboel.Lets together send a message to Africa-What do you want???

I, at this point in time could care less how pretty my dogs are ,I care about HEALTH,TEMPERMENT,and MOVEMENT in that order.Until we overcome these issues, we have NOTHING to build from.
