1. Your best new thing A pacemaker

2. Best new activity Moving around briskly without huffin and puffin. Hallelujah!

3. Favorite show on TV Army Wives

Well, when you reach my age you can't expect wonderful, intelligent, fulfilling stuff that has nothing to do with health issues.

Loved the poll! Thank you, dear truelove.

Best new thing. Hmm, grew loads of herbs. The oregano was particularly successful. This may also count as my best new activity.

Favourite show? Well, it's got to be Mr Swearey Beast. Hell's Kitchen, of course. Don't be a muppet!

Otherwise, summer's been pretty awful. It has rained consistently - nothing in the garden has thrived except the slugs. Oh, and the foxes who came in to beat up my new lavender plants.

I did buy some lovely new lupins but the aforementioned slugs chewed them down to the ground!
