Having had the singular honor of seeing some of your other poetry, I'm so happy that the other Boardfolk can now read your excellent poem "Marnie." :-D I'll leave it to you to say where you drew inspiration for that poem from, or not, as you please. You know what *my* original thoughts and reaction to the piece were, though.

As for Beth, your talented Muse: It *is* unusual and rare to see someone tackle the first-person, present tense perspective in fanfic. It's really going to be interesting being able to see at least parts of this story from Nik's "real time" perspective. I know that this is the viewpoint of choice for Beth, and it provides a unique look at (and inside of) Nikita's character. Apart from giving the reader access to her emotions and thoughts, it also lends an immediacy to the piece, the situations depicted, and the ongoing storyline.

It's also unusual seeing such a strong emotional display from Michael. In all 5 years of the series, there weren't that many of them. Not in the early years, especially, even though there were more as the series wore on. :-D There's something about Mikey when he's feral, agitated, and dangerous that gets the heart pumping, that's for sure. :-P There's just something unspeakably delicious about that character when his voice gets thick with emotion and he has Nik pinned against a wall, or something, while giving her the 'third degree' with those eyes of his... Yum. ;-P

Mikey *does* have his ways of getting Nik to toe-the-line, though. :-D

Great stuff--looking forward to more. :-D {{{{{{{Kitkat}}}}}}}

Hugs,
Sanlin :-D
