This was sent through a fan email list this morning. I haven't found anything else confirming it, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

If you know of anyone who could benifit from this information, please pass the word along.

Tripod appears to be deleting fanfic sites, both gen
and slash. Word of this has spread over a couple
lists in the Sentinel and Due South fandoms, and more
than one person has been hit.

You might want to take the precaution of backing up
your stuff, if you have a Tripod page. If anyone has
any more information about this, I've love to know.

Thanks for the warning - I know someone who's looking into this...Cynaera16:30:34 03/17/01 Sat
Just received word via a list that a bug, a technical glitch, was responsible for accidentally (that's right--it wasn't a targeted attack on anyone) erasing about 1/2 of Tripod's sites. They're majorly embarrassed by the incident and are working to restore the affected sites as rapidly as possible. (NT)Sanlin10:25:10 03/19/01 Mon
