I've already heard from someone who's had this happen. Ravenseven recently attended an "Internet World" gathering, and Barry Diller (CEO of USA Networks) was a keynote speaker. She had snapped a few pics of him, had asked him a couple of questions, and took copious notes from the seminar. She posted them to a hastily-created website, so she could share the entire event with fellow online LFN fans. Within a day, the website was shut down by Tripod. No reason given.

I'm not sure what's up with it, but it's definitely a good idea to back everything up, in case Tripod decides to push their "god" status.

Lemme see if I can get the e-mail address of Ravenseven - I'm sure she'd have more intel than I do...

Hugs,
Me

Just received word via a list that a bug, a technical glitch, was responsible for accidentally (that's right--it wasn't a targeted attack on anyone) erasing about 1/2 of Tripod's sites. They're majorly embarrassed by the incident and are working to restore the affected sites as rapidly as possible. (NT)Sanlin10:25:10 03/19/01 Mon
Uh huh... that's what they want us to think... but we know better. It's a communistic plot! (NT)Caro19:48:31 03/20/01 Tue
