Ahhh.. So nice to have a forum/message board finally!!..

Allright. Artists whom can't top there work? Im going to talk about music, 'cause its what I do. I don't do art or books and shit. So ill focus on the music side of things.

Well. Yes. I wonder if you can't top your work if you should call it quits. Rather than put a shit album when you know you can make better noise out of you ass, than what they put on it. **cough, new DEFTONES, cough**..

Now, im not coming out as a negative person saying everyone whom can't top there albums, SUCKS!. No. All I am saying, that maybe there time maybe up? If you can't do what you do anymore, then stop. If you change your sound to a different direction, and it works. All the power to you. And if it doesn�t work, well... Maybe its time, to have a final tour, or some shit like that.

I've been hanging around some record executives lately. The common phrase is, "most artists have a five album career".

Not to pick on anyone. But. Im going to use, Metallica like Brian did. And if Metallica, EVER find our web page, I have to utmost respect for you guys, and thank you for some of the best music EVER...

Now, Kill em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, Justice, and Black album are fucking killer? Yes? They kick so much ass.

Load, Re-load?? Different direction. Good in there own, way. But how do you change from there trash(KTA,RTL,MOP,AJFA) to there Rock (Black) and to blues-ish(load-era)?? Trash to rock? The Black album is by far one of the best albums in rock'n roll history. How do you top it? You don't. And its ok. You got your message through to your millions of fans, and that�s awesome. We could go on and on for this, but, you get the drift.

And then. The newest studio album comes out. St. Anger. Now. I understand they wanted to achieve a "raw" sound with it. And they did. I personally love the album (along with all of their albums. I think Metallica, is one of the few artists to change styles and have it still work for them). I think the new album is mixed with say, justice with the black album. And it works.

Although, if it was fully mastered and had solos in it (WTF happened to Kirt Hammett on this disc) I think it may be topped the Black album (if that�s possible).

So you just never know. Shit happens, but if you can bounce back, it�s even sweeter.
