David is in 6 episodes of "The Club of Queer Trades", an adaptation of R L Stevenson's stories. The first one was on Monday 4th April. On the BBC website (www.bbc.co.uk) you can look for the programme, and listen to it for one week after transmission. Then, when the next episode goes out, they replace the last recording with the new one.
Happy listening!

Thanks so much for the tip-off, Shirley! I caught the first episode just in time. He's been getting lots of great roles now that he's back in England, hasn't he? And this one we can actually listen to from here in the States. (Wish the BBC would broadcast their television shows over the 'Net too! That might finally make it worth buying a decent computer. Of course, now that they've slashed all those jobs, how much will the quality suffer?)

Anyway, the show was awesome--clever story, great acting (I could so easily visualize it all happening), and I love the character of Basil Grant--the anti-Sherlock Holmes. DW's voice is magnificent as always. Plus the first thing you hear is his "aria" in that wonderful deep singing voice of his. (Reminded me of "Morgan is sad today ...") And the episode included something else we rarely get to hear--doesn't he have a great laugh? I'm looking forward to the next one.

Unfortunately, I didn't catch the names of all the actors in that episode--there was one guy who sounded an awful lot like Timothy Spall, but I don't think it was. (There's another actor whose voice makes me swoon!)

(BTW, the author was G. K. Chesterton, not R. L. Stevenson--another of my heroes.)
