Well, may I be the first to say I'm not overly happy with its omission (though not as unhappy as I would have been had the entire Fantasia been omitted). The question is, as noted by John earlier today, whether the orchestral version will be played in its stead (as per Old Timber's score).

It should be noted that, as well as being the most jingoistic, Sir Malcolm's arrangement of Rule Britannia is also one of the most appropriate pieces for the Last Night as it is my understanding that it was written for the Last Night celebrations!
