I tend to take the reverse view I'm afraid!

Maybe things aren't so bad these days (especially with the BBC shop sending a guide to Gary which arrived the day before NK's grand unveiling!), but I previously found getting hold of a guide out here in the sticks a right royal pain in the &(£$%&.

It could sometimes be a week after the official revealing before I could find out what was on. Deeply frustrating, and not at all helpful if wanting to book seats for the BPO etc.

The website is a vast improvement IMHO - I much prefer going to a website which goes live at the correct time, than having to make lots of pointless phonecalls and visits to bookstores. On one occasion I had to resort to using bribery to get a harassed WHS employee to go out the back and get a copy from the great stack they had behind the scenes! No further comment required.

I suppose some of the articles in the guide are vaguely illuminating, but to be honest I buy it mainly for the postal booking form!
