To be factual Simon, I have to agree with you about the convenience of the website and as a person who is fond of IT I would always prefer it. Also living in "darkest Lincolnshire" I could never get a Guide for more than a week later,(or it seemed like that).
However, no doubt like many others who use the net constantly, I still wanted a copy of the Guide, I suppose as a souvenir if not for the articles, (hands up those who still have not read an article on some little known composer in the 1998 copy), and its because of forking out the money every year I suppose I am beginning to question its need, (or am I?). For example, some of the cheaper options seem to be the ones most used by me during the season,e.g. Radio Times pull out when it arrives not to mention the superb little micro guide by (I think) the Guardian.
I agree with you about the user friendleness of the net version but stand up those who believe that so much that they are brave enough to resist purchasing the Guide this year,(or next year maybe), line up please!!
