He managed to stop himself from shaking, but he didn't know how long he could keep it away. He couldn't lift his head to look at Aragorn. He didn't know if he ever could look at him again without wanting to cry. His chest was really starting to hurt but he couldn't make his arms move to rub at it. It was starting to go numb. He stared at his hands. Was it him or were they getting paler? He pushed the thought aside as not important and focused on what was happening. 'It's over. All of it's over.' Everything was going numb, he didn't want to feel pain anymore. That's all he'd ever felt since he was taken. And he thought Aragorn was different. Nothing good can happen to me.' "Yes...Master Aragorn." Legolas couldn't help it and his shoulders started shaking. He just wanted to disappear. To make all this pain go away.
