In reply to: Jerrylh 's message, "Princeton quarterback" on 16:47:03 09/14/24 Sat

If Hipa is QB1 on Saturday I believe he will be the first starting Tiger lefty QB since POY Jeff Terrell led Princeton to an Ivy title in 2006.

Am I forgetting someone?

I tried to fact-check that using ChatGPT and it provided the following misinformation:

“There have been a few notable left-handed quarterbacks who played football at Princeton University, though they are rare. One of the most famous examples is Jason Garrett, who played quarterback at Princeton in the late 1980s. Garrett, a left-handed passer, went on to play in the NFL and later became a coach, most notably as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Garrett transferred to Princeton from Columbia University and played two seasons for the Tigers.“

For a lefty, Garrett threw awfully well with his right arm.

Can only wonder how well he would have done if he threw with his left arm.... Might even have beaten out Aikman on the Cowboys!
