GBI: I'm no football expert, but it seems that, far too often, when Brown blitzes (which isn't very frequently), it gets burned. I'd love to see some stats on the frequency of blitzes and the results of the play.

On the other hand, the 3-man rush seldom works out for Brown.

I was at an offsite over the weekend so missed the game. Credit goes to Brown, as Cornell was leading most of this game, but the Bears rushed for a whopping 214 yards and dominated time of possession 36 to 24 minutes. This was a winnable game for Cornell but when you only have 18 rushing attempts for 58 yards, with 41 of them by your QB, in the end the defense is going to be totally "gassed". Brown scored 20 points in the second half, with 13 of them in the fourth quarter. Again hats off to Brown. Go Big Red!

RW, I was impressed by your defense and a few of your offensive playmakers (namely the QB and the top receiver - I think it was #3?). If Cornell can beef up the O-line a bit more and establish more of a run threat, they'll be very good next year.

The pass coverage was stifling our aerial attack (though we were missing a couple top receiving options, to be fair) until our run game appeared to wear down the defensive unit, opening some holes in the coverage that we were able to exploit.

Very fun game, and a great tactical matchup between two clearly very strong X's and O's coaches.
