In reply to: Brown Fan 's message, "Brown Yale" on 12:52:35 11/09/24 Sat

That Yale would pummel Brown's defense did not surprise me, but what is interesting to think about is that last week Yale scored all of ten points on Columbia. In other words, Yale offense isn't so good that they can't be stopped. But Brown's defense is so bad that they can't stop anyone. This is an embarrassment, and it is time for the AD to give thought to another coach. Yes, I know Perry is a legend, and a good offensive coach, but defense is also important, and he has no clue. Furthermore, I don't see where things are going to change. This is Perry's fifth season. He has made some progress, but it appears that he has reached the limit. After all, how far can you go without a defense? And one other thing, I don't want to hear "things are great, we are coming along, blah, blah, blah." Things are not great, Brown is out of most games by the end of the first quarter, and if it is not time for a change, when will it be?

Perry never changed his mindset from OC to HC. His teams at Bryant were the same way. He cares more about scoring and the offensive brand of his team than playing complimentary football. This has always been his MO. It should not come as a surprise.
