Scott, I am not a Brown alumnus, but I have caught several of your broadcasts when my team plays in Providence. Russ and you do a fine job which I always enjoy. As a visiting fan, thank you.

By the way, I do not mind that you don't completely hide that you are the Brown Bear announcers. To a certain extent, hearing a bit of your emotional investment in the Bears adds to the experience for a viewer on ESPN+. Boosterism is fine; it's when you can't see the game straight that it becomes a problem.

The two guys who broadcast Penn Quaker games from The Palestra are Exhibits A and B for what *NOT* to do. I'm sure that you know who I'm talking about. When these guys do a game on ESPN+, every foul against a Quaker is a terrible, outrageous call. Every foul that isn't called on an opposing player is a travesty.

These Penn guys insult the intelligence of their viewers. First, we know at least a little about the sport at hand. Second, we know that 100% of the calls against Penn cannot be bad calls. Palestra referees are not on the payroll of the other seven Ivy League coaches.

By that standard, Russ and you are 100% down the middle of the fairway. I have no problem with your affection for Brown.

Easily Tim Murphy. He doesn’t even pretend to be impartial.

Observer:

Take it easy on my guy Vince. I love listening to his broadcasts! At least you know where he stands. He is all in on his Quakers as most of us are with the teams we cover. Vince just can't hide the love he has for Penn.
