A good end to a disappointing season. The defense came up big and both teams clearly had not given up on their seasons. Turnovers did Penn in for the second year in a row. Although the worst and most needless TO was the 4th quarter sideline pick Hipa threw, instead of throwing the ball away. He did have a number of good plays. Great to see Volker, who battled injury for much of his career, shine.

Another ominous sign for the League if Hosely carries through with a transfer. A terrific back who I won’t miss if he does leave.

It's always good to win the last game. Defense made crucial plays when needed, something that didn't happen much during the season. Was happy for Volker and the rest of the seniors. Still not sold on Hipa but Surace must believe he will be much better next year. Also, while he has quick feet, he doesn't have good speed. He just can't get away at times, even from linebackers. The freshman (Friend)coming in next year took over for Arch Manning and looks like a really good prospect. Tigers need to stay healthy next year and they will be fine.

Don't disagree but I'm not going to rehash player and other issues at the moment, as I think we all appreciate the effort of young men who do the very challenging work of balancing school and sports, for our enjoyment.

I expect Coach will have to truly assess all areas this offseason.

A lot of us don't want to be reminded of their challenges.

Valmas: I give you permission not to be stoical for at least a week. Celebratory, yes. Even epicurean. Cheers and further congrats.

Interesting to note that all it takes is a team going 5-2 in IL play for its fan base to begin to view the IL referees in a less negative light. Of course, many of these "fine" people felt the CNN moderators of last June's POTUS debate performed in a sterling and unbiased capacity, too! Cheers, B!

Hipa is not the answer.

Poor ball security

A scrambling QB who cannot get away from D lineman

Looking forward to

100% agree M3. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. And I watched some video of Friend. He looks like a top find.

I'm not as negative on Hippa as you guys seem to be. He has a lot of skills. His problem is poor decision making both in the pocket and in his passing choices. Hopefully, he can correct these deficiencies next year. I am not put off by his lack of speed. Also, I wouldn't count on a freshman to come in next year and start.

... a lousy line.

Admittedly, I only saw Princeton play Dartmouth. But the poor guy was running for his life most of the game.
