Congrats to Jim Knowles on his new $3MM contract as defensive coordinator at Penn State. He's a hard working coach and has done an unbelievable job since leaving Cornell for greener pastures.

My only concern is these are academic institutions that have lost their way. Penn State is a good school, but their singular focus on football has their priorities mixed up. Meaning our company is not planning to hire any PSU grads.

Given what transpired at Penn State in the past because of the misplaced values on the football program, and the relatively small punishment the school received, I cannot say I am in any way surprised by the university's misplaced values. I know Paterno was critical of Ivy League schools holding back college football even though he was a graduate of Brown, but in some ways it is nice that Ivy League doesn't place football too high up on a pedestal.
