Understand and agree with you my friend Scoop85, but everyone knows that nowadays you have to pay to play at Columbia which is why Engles is still around. From my personal experience that was not the way it was at Columbia in the past, but is now.

How does the concept of paying to play factor into the coach's longevity, on the job? And I can't blame you for not wanting to hear anymore excuse-driven explanations, but the fact is they've been without their best player and leader (senior, Geronimo de la Rosa) for the last month. This team did beat Villanova in November - by ten points, on the road; and Nova's gone on to beat two nationally-ranked (Marquette & St. John's) programs. I just feel terrible for all of you and all other concerned parties, regarding the truly unfortunate manner in which this is playing out.
