Subject: Columbia and Penn Baseball Are Tied for First Place Author: The Mountain Lion [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 16:30:39 04/20/25 Sun Columbia just defeated Dartmouth by a 9-8 score at Satow Stadium in Manhattan to move into a tie with Penn for first place in the Ivy League standings. The Lions swept their three-game series with Dartmouth which featured the long ball prowess of Columbia stars Sam Miller, Jack Kale and Anton Lazits. Columbia and Penn play one another in Philly next weekend in a highly anticipated three-game series that is likely to decide first place in the Ivy League pennant race. Pitching in all 3 games was generally unimpressive, and the defense was awful. Today featured 6 Columbia errors. We will have to play a lot better next weekend. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

The six errors in yesterday's game was shocking. As for the pitching, it is obviously not there yet, but Jagger Edwards was very impressive in his five inning outing allowing just three hits and no runs. But you didn't say where you're coming from. If from the north, I'd suggest crossing on the Whitman instead of the Ben Franklin. Then Schuylkill Expressway (76) west to South St exit for Penn. Turn left at top of exit ramp in direction of West Phil and Penn campus. Street parking in West Phil used to be manageable. Just stay on top of it time-wise. Or hit one of the garages.
