Trust in the defense? Look at the scoreboard - Harvard had put up 42 points on it already, and their kicker has a leg. Priore arguably made the worst Ivy coaching decision since Cozza put linemen on the onside kick receiving team leading Harvard by 8 with less than a minute left in 1968. Inarguably, the worst decision in that stadium since then.

So even if Penn had run a play to center the ball for a FG, Harvard may have called timeout to preserve time on the clock for their turn with the ball. I'll walk back much of my criticism from yesterday of Priore's clock management. Mea culpa!
