Ivy Inquisitior (Week 3 picks)

My week 2 picks were split down the middle. My picks were 3-3 and 1-1 for Ivy CSFL.For the year I'm 9-5 andv2-2 Ivy CSFL.
Columbia offense seeme to shift back to their typical spread after struggling with a power- spread offense. The offense line was more efficient and I was surprised to see QB Goodwin make a impact on the QB draw runs. The Lions Defense line was stellar .They clogged the middle, opening the line backers as free hitters When the defense ends blitzed they usually beat the offense tackles. The offense did enough to aid their great defense. The defense three turnovers solidify the win.

Brown's first quarter defense looked good. They attacked the ball like swarming yellow jackets . But it the offense two first quarter turnovers that did Bruno in.

Cornell has found Jameson Wang's replacement in Paige. I loved their Wish bone goal line offense. The Big Red should use more of it.They have the QB and running backs to do it. Forcing the defense to prep for the Shot Gun and Wish Bone will give Cornell a unique advantage. Their defense played better against Yale than the score board indicated.

Dartmouth's offense will never be questioned. However, I'm starting to question the defense. Kicker OZ is revered as the Ivy's best Kicker but was in rare form as he missed two kicks.

Harvard is deserving to be ranked. WR Cam Henry looks as electrifying as Charles DePrima from a year ago. Has back up QB Gordon has switched to RB?

Penn QB Liam O'Brian was more efficient as a passer but his rushing against Leigh was ineffective. Will this become a pattern? The Quaker Defense line was stout despite the score. Looks like WR Stokes is the feature RB.

Princeton defense was very impressive. They did a fine job of open field tackling and their three turnovers made the difference.

Yale Offense Line is dominant and novice QB Reno was effective. I think RB Pitsenberger could be more dominant in the Pistol and I-form.His battering ram style reminds me of former Ivy
and NFL greats Eddie Marinaro and Jim Finn.

Ivy CSFL
Cornell and Penn's frustrating losses are due to stagnant offense. Their defense is sold but not good enough to carry the offense.

Second year Sprint team Mollory got their first win against Cornell.
If Penn can't handle Chestnut Hill and Mansfield. When Army and Navy rolls in, then the bleeding will begin.

Week 3 picks:
Rhode Island over Brown

Princeton over Columbia. This is hard to forecast. This could be the classic offense vs defense game.

Dartmouth over Penn

Leigh over Yale. I'm not confident about this pick.

Harvard over HC

Cornell over Colgate

CSFL:
STAC over Penn

Cornell-Yale was honestly a barn burner until the last 2 minutes of the game. Cornell has a penchant for playing Yale close, but last minute circumstances somehow affecting the score greatly. The end of this game reminded me of 2019 when Yale returned an onsides kick for a TD in the final 30 seconds, ballooning the final score of an otherwise competitive, physical game

Agreed Cornell played better this week. But....what drives me nuts about Swanstrom is he does not run the football. Cornell had 51 passing attempts with only 24 completions and a whopping 4 interceptions. Meanwhile Yale ran a lot fewer plays but their running back rushed for 175 yards. Whether our head coach is Austin, Archer, or Swanstrom it's the same old crap, pass for all kinds of yards, throw a few untimely picks and don't run the #$%^&* football. Meanwhile the rest of the Ivy League runs the ball up our A week after week. Again same old crap regardless of the head coach. Go Big Red!

Penn had several turnovers and gave up a TD on a fake field goal. Lehigh's offense was efficient. It was a good game, though I would have preferred a different result. :)

I forgot to Add The other CSFL Prediction.
Chestnut Hill over Cornell

Brown defense tonight was outstanding.Their four turnovers lead the way to victory. The players are celebrating like the just received The Onslaught Trophy. During the post game Coach Perry was holding back tears. Brown, enjoy the celebration, you've earned it.
