An exceptional effort in a 28-21 win over #10 ranked URI.

Bears Defense--the weak-link for the past six years--played with great effort and aggressiveness all gamelong.
Under Coach Dan Mulrooney and his new assistants, Brown Defense had two sacks and constant pressure, two interceptions, and forced a key fumble on the goal line.

Bear Offense was efficient.
QB James Murphy has shown better field-vision and decision-making. The stable of five RBs pounded out tough yardage, made key catches, and were exceptional at picking-up blitzes, and giving Murphy time to make throws.
Brown was 4-of-5 in the red zone (a missed FG kept them from being perfect), was 3-for-3 on 4th downs, Brown scored first and never trailed.

It was a good win.
Under Jim Fleming, URI has aggressively recruited top talent--including a big fast WR that is on several per-season AA lists, an excellent QB transfer from Virginia Tech, huge OL/DL; and more than half of their 85 player roster are transfers.
Rhody won the Colonial AA last year, and went to the FCS Playoffs.

At the end of the day
Brown is 2-1 with two solid wins and a stinker in Cambridge.
(0-1 in league)

Don't kill my buzz
I am basking in the moment!

Bryant next, then the Ivy League schedule.
