Thanks, Mike, for the tip. I was aware that this was a heavy boat, but it was kind of an impulse buy when I was in Seattle. As for the sail area, I didn't know enough to ask about that at the the time of the sale, but I did read about it later at the Rawson Owner's group on Yahoo. The previous owner said it was a cutter rig, which I took with a grain of salt, but it does have a second foresail so something has obviously been done to it.
