Subject: Night Of Nightmares

Night of Nightmares

Hearing his voice brings with it
a black smoke whispering
"there is danger,
this will be a night like no other"

Her heart cries in return
"No, how could this man of such gentle love
bring pain to the one her cherishes?”

She lays back to sleep comforted
by the sound of love in his voice,
wrapped in the safety of his arms
though of the spirit only

Pain, blood, hurt,
and self destruction
vibrates through her
bringing her to awareness
searching for the source
from which it comes

Pain filling her body
she reaches out to him
who can soothe this nightmare
with his love

Confusion takes her
as she finds herself locked away
from the source of her strength

Searching though the pain
she finds that which she seeks
only to wish she had not found
the man of her heart

Need! rips through her
as his heart reaches out
to give love and comfort
in the only way he can

Denial, a dream,
she grasps for something
that can convince her
not to believe that which she feels

Black needles of pain
pierce her heart and womanhood
as she feels the passions
involved this night of nightmares

Her body withers
in pain as she twists
filled with a black flame
of pain never thought to exist

Deep within
a part of her struggles
to find something
lost in pain

Something precious
to her heart

Weakening she gives her body
over to the pains
of a hell unheard of
as her senses are assaulted
on this blackest of nights

Dawn breaks
without release from the loss,
pain and memories
flooding through
this worthless woman
